Sports and practical experience
Hubert Makaruk has been involved in track and field for over 30 years, initially as an athlete and later as a coach. In his athletic career, he won several Polish championship medals in different age categories in long jump and triple jump and was a finalist in the European Junior Championships in long jump. In 2005, he began his coaching career, taking up a position at the AZS AWF Biała Podlaska sports club. In the 2012/2013 season, he served as the national team coach for seniors in long jump and triple jump. His proteges have won 20 Polish championship medals in long jump and triple jump and have also participated in the European Championships and Universiade. He regularly collaborates with the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and numerous sports entities such as the PZPN Coaches School, the Institute of Sport and the Polish Track and Field (Athletics) Association.
Scientific/sports career
Since 2015, he has been employed as a professor at the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Faculty of Physical Education and Health in Biala Podlaska. He conducts research and lectures on plyometric exercises, teaching (learning) and improving motor skills, and track and field. As an expert and editor, he collaborates with various scientific journals and engages in international research cooperation.
